Catching Up with Chef.

Ten years have passed since Roshan Kalra started the Raasta café. Radha and Armaan, moved by his newfound passion and dedication towards them and cooking, decided to stay back, even though Radha had said it wasn’t a hot idea. She eventually gave in to Roshan’s killer moves on the dance floor and in the kitchen and got back together  with him, much to the delight of Armaan, Nazrul and Alex and much to the dismay of Biju.

Biju was devastated. He was all set to propose to Radha when she dropped the R bomb on him. Heartbroken, he took out his 1960 Impala on a ride which unfortunately broke down in the middle of the road. Finding no option, he started walking/running towards the next town and realized he was a pretty decent runner and took to marathon running where he met his 23 year old girlfriend and went off to Oslo for their pre-wedding trip.

Roshan K moved to his childhood home in Chandni Chowk with his family and father, and his son Armaan, infused with the love of cooking and dancing, which he inherited from both sets of parents, started to dance all the way to Ram Lal Uncle’s Chole Bhature shop to learn cooking.

Raasta café really took off and Roshan made a lot of money, and ended up buying the double-decker mini-bus from Biju. But staying in Delhi proved costlier. The polluted air took a toll on Roshan K’s lungs, along with the cigarettes he casually kept puffing. Combined with that, the odd-even traffic rule got in their way of driving around the city, so they ended up investing in a restaurant and named it Raasta Café 2.0. Alex stayed on them with as their new manager.

Nazrul met a girl on Tinder and after a few dates, got hitched to her. They went out on an all India trip and during the Assam leg of that trip, his Bangladesh passport created a ruckus and they deported him back to his homeland. His girlfriend was arrested for hanging out with an illegal immigrant even though Nazrul kept showing his visa and travel documents.

Last we heard, fed up with the Delhi pollution and taxes that kept people from eating Rot-za at Raasta, Roshan K decided to move back to the States with Radha and Armaan in tow. But with Trump's new immigration policies, Roshan K is not sure if Radha and Armaan will get in after all.

Nazrul still says “Staying alive” when asked how he is doing. He is still waiting to come back to India for a proper Goa trip.
